TaxValues™ Excise Abatements
TaxValues™ Excise Abatements is designed to give the assessors’ office access to and control of the excise assessment data for your municipality. This software enables assessors to carry out their excise-related functions then transfer the updated information to the tax collector, eliminating the time-consuming verification and authorization process traditionally required.
Data Housekeeping Controls
Frequently, you will need to perform some “data housekeeping” due to changes and conditions that the RMV or other issuing entity was unaware of at the time the records were sent to you. TaxValues™ Excise Abatements provides the mechanisms so that you can correct addresses or valuations, void bills for exempt vehicles, and handle the addition or turnover of bills for records originally sent to the wrong municipality.
Flexible Commitment Handling
You can prepare excise commitments for the tax collector through TaxValues™ Excise Abatements, working with a variety of record types. The software allows for the processing of motor vehicle excise records either originating from RMV data or entered as recommits, as well as boat excise records.
Abatement Management
A full array of functionality is included in the application for the issuing of abatements, from the insertion of user-defined reason codes to the voiding or editing of existing abatements. You can export the excise abatements as a file that the tax collector’s office can use to automatically update their records. A control totals report is generated during the export process, useful for balancing.
